How to Make Extra Cash from Spaces in your Home or Work place?
As the official launch of Spacefy approaches, we had, what we believed to be a great idea, to showcase our service. We decided on a video shoot showing different creative uses in a single space. The location was our HQ office space in Toronto.
We completed 5 space conversions in a span of 6 hours, starting with setting up a Photography Studio, courtesy of Nick Merzetti. Nick is an award-winning photographer specializing in Portrait and Event Photography. Nick’s work has been featured in publications such as Monacle and Spacing magazines, as well as The Toronto Star and The Guardian UK. He is the recipient of the esteemed William J. Dowkes Award for Outstanding Portrait Photography from the University of Toronto, and a winner of the Nature in Focus Photography Competition presented by David Suzuki.
The photoshoot took on a bit of a last minute creative turn, you can read more and see the final photos from Nick Merzetti’s photoshoot here!
Next on the agenda was an activity that many at our office where looking forward to, a Yoga Class with Yoga teacher Arash Brl. The space transformation began with a simple window drape, check out the photos below.
Setting the mood with candles and window drapes, it worked.
When the stretching is done, we dance. The same space became a dance studio by KulKat, a premiere boutique-style entertainment company, specializing in providing custom high-class dance entertainment for exclusive corporate functions and events. Have a look at what took place below.
The break-dancing was magnificent.
A quick moving around of the furniture and the space is now a location for film auditions. We set up real auditions for this, stay tuned for the video.
Last but not least, it was time for band rehearsal, by Blackmagenta, a music project born out of Toronto Canada with talented musicians. The band’s main influences are English rock pop from the 80′s, post rock, Alternative, punk and New Age. The main objective is to produce alternative, Rock Pop music with inspiring and seductive lyrics.
The bands singer songwriter Saul Pardi, describes their sound as a sometimes mellodic sweet and sour with a punch and sometimes melancholic introspective mix. We loved it!

It’s a wrap! Massive thanks go to the organizer and chief of this entire shoot, our own Tanya Khalil and Indigo7Productions a great film production company, including, Ryan J. Sheridan and Alex Bains who made everything look so easy. We can’t wait for the video!
This was our attempt to demonstrate how a single space can be used for a variety of creative endeavors. The Spacefy platform was designed to facilitate monetizing of spaces while making location search and bookings for the creative community, more convenient.
You can chose to rent out your home for, Yoga, fitness or dance classes, events, film and TV shoot locations, fashion shoots or other creative projects on Spacefy and make money.
