After taking InnerSpace host Ajay Fry on a tour of three of Spacefy‘s locations for band practice, events, and of course, film shoots, he was inspired to create his own original short horror film in one of the Toronto converted church lofts available to rent by the hour.
Shot at Converted Steeple Penthouse, this space is the perfect backdrop for a horror film. This modern apartment in a historic building would be the ideal home for a young couple – who just so happen to be the characters in this film. This former Victorian church also has stylish exposed brick walls, wooden arches, and windows reminiscent of Gothic architecture – a style commonly found in horror films. Very little set-up was required for Ajay’s film and we think the cinematography shows off the location beautifully. Click here to book the Converted Steeple Penthouse for your next project.
If you’re looking for a home to shoot your next film – horror or otherwise – you can find the perfect location from the hundreds listed on Spacefy. Of course our spaces have had starring roles in movie scenes, commercials, photo shoots, films, music videos, and events, but this is the first short film.
Without further delay, grab some popcorn, dim the lights, and enjoy the very first short film shot in a Spacefy location.
